POSITION TITLE: Parks Coordinator/Administrative Assistant (Full -Time)
DIVISION: Parks and Natural Resources Division
REPORTS TO: Parks and Natural Resources Division Director
FLSA STATUS: Full-Time; $20.00/hr - $24.00/hr
Purpose of Position
The Parks Coordinator/Administrative Assistant performs administrative and support functions for the Parks & Natural Resources (PNR) Division. The PNR Division is responsible for natural resources management, volunteer programming, park maintenance, and engaging the community with stewardship opportunities.

Purpose of Position
The Parks Coordinator/Administrative Assistant performs administrative and support functions for the Parks & Natural Resources (PNR) Division. The PNR Division is responsible for natural resources management, volunteer programming, park maintenance, and engaging the community with stewardship opportunities.
Essential Job Functions
- Provides information and responds to inquiries via phone and email.
- Supports department with communicating project updates internally and externally.
- Creates, maintains spreadsheets, databases, and various division reports.
- Assists with service request and asset management software.
- Schedules meetings and maintains calendar invites and room reservations.
- Assists with project logistics and progress meetings with minutes and agendas.
- Develops maps, uploads data, and creates reports with GIS.
- Coordinates AED/PAD program across PNR division.
- Distributes program surveys to participants post program.
- Create/Edit maintenance and program information materials prior to public distribution.
- Supports maintenance operations, volunteer programs and natural resource stewardship.
- Supports coordination on sustainability initiatives with department.
- Communicates with contractors to receive project information and scheduling updates.
- Collaborates with CCPR Marketing division to support marketing tools related to PNR.
- Assists with compliance records, budget preparation, and maintain records for annual budget revisions.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Ability to utilize a computer, including GIS, MS Office suite, and various databases.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to use a multiple line phone, iPad.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work with frequent interruptions.
- Associates Degree or higher.
- Work experience in related field such as parks, natural resources, education, or recreation preferred.
- 2-3 years of administrative or professional work history preferred.
- Occasional evenings and/or weekends may be required in support of programming.
Salary : $20 - $24
