What We Are Hiring For:
Schedule: Full Time, Flexible Schedule
Starting Salary Range: $71,000 to $73,000 Per Year
What Youll Do:
- Meet DSS qualifications and Carltons requirements pertaining to community trainers at all times.
- Create training programs for employees that are informative, relevant, innovative, and engaging.
- Create training programs with content aligned with Company policies, procedures, and culture.
- Verify the training programs fulfill the requirements for newly hired employees per DSS requirements.
- Facilitate training programs.
- Ability to commit to assigned schedules, which will entail occasional weekend and evening shifts
- Know and understand dementia and how residents may be affected by the disease progression. Recognize the physical and psychosocial needs of the elderly.
- Follow Company protocol in response to resident-related health and safety issues.
- Assist in managing the relationship with newly hired employees during their onboarding with the Company.
- Create and maintain employee training records for employees.
- Dress appropriately per the Companys standards outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Attend periodic staff meetings, in-service training, and mandatory meetings as required.
- Observe Residents Rights, as posted within the facility, to include any updates thereto.
- Mandated reporting if you suspect any verbal, physical, emotional, financial, or neglectful treatment toward a resident or staff member, report it to your supervisor immediately.
- In Emergencies, assist residents according to the Emergency Plan of the facility.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years or older, per Title 22 requirements
- A minimum of eight hours of certifiable continuing education or three semester units, or the equivalent, from an accredited educational institution, on topics relevant to caring for individuals with dementia.
- Current employment as a consultant with expertise in dementia care, or two years full-time experience, or the equivalent, within the last four years, as an RCFE administrator or as a direct care provider for individuals with dementia.
- Must have an appreciation and understanding of the senior population.
- Reasonable expectations of mathematical, technical, and reasoning skills to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Experience in public speaking or engaging with large groups of people preferred.
Salary : $71,000 - $73,000
