Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, changing linens, and sanitizing bathrooms using appropriate cleaning agents.
• Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and laundry facilities by implementing effective janitorial practices.
• Handle cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, including vacuums, floor buffers, mops, and chemical sprayers.
• Manage chemical agents responsibly by adhering to Safety Data Sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures to ensure safety for yourself and guests.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or large supplies while following manual handling safety protocols.
• Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures to document completed tasks and report any maintenance or sanitation issues promptly.
• Support hotel emergency procedures by maintaining a safe environment and responding appropriately to safety concerns or incidents.

Experience

• Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is highly preferred; familiarity with hospitality standards enhances your effectiveness.
• Demonstrated skills in floor care techniques, including cleaning carpets, tiles, and hard floors with industrial cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices and experience with industrial cleaning methods ensures a hygienic environment for guests.
• Strong customer service skills to interact politely with guests and address their needs professionally.
• Experience with hotel housekeeping management systems or janitorial documentation processes is advantageous.
• Ability to perform physical tasks involving vacuuming, heavy lifting, manual handling of supplies, and prolonged standing or walking.
• Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to maintain a secure environment for all staff and visitors.

Pay: $24.60 - $33.00 per hour
