Overview:

Carlson Distributing, Utah's largest beer distributor and specialty beer importer, is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Driver Helper. In this role, you'll be essential to our delivery operations, ensuring efficient loading, unloading, and safe handling of merchandise.

Compensation and Benefits:

We value your contributions and offer competitive compensation. The annual pay for this position is $33,800 Commission without a CDL and $55,000 with a CDL. If you don’t currently have a CDL, we are willing to assist you in obtaining one. A clean driving record is required. In addition to competitive pay, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:

Responsibilities:

• Maintain back rooms by organizing and consolidating back stock safely and accessibly within the assigned loading dock area
• Set aside and store unfit products for sale to be credited to customer accounts
• Operate powered equipment, such as pallet jacks, and manual equipment
• Clean and organize shelves or aisles daily to ensure a safe environment for consumers
• Load and unload trucks and/or company vehicles by hand, hand truck, or dolly
• Unload and verify all returning products with appropriate check-in personnel
• Pad, stack, and secure items to prevent damage during shipment
• Deliver and stack merchandise on customer premises
• Assist Drivers in off-loading products to customers
• Lift up to 90 lbs. (average case weight is 45 lbs.) and perform physically demanding tasks
• Work overtime as required and participate in ongoing safety awareness efforts

Qualifications:

• Effective communication skills and a strong focus on customer service
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Valid Driver License with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift/lower 45 lbs. regularly and up to 150 lbs. occasionally
• Experience with two-wheel dolly and equipment operations
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
