Responsibilities:

As a multi-service law firm with offices located on Hawaii Island, Maui, and Oahu, we practice in a variety of areas including Real Estate and Land Use, Corporate and Business Formation, Tax and Estate Planning, and Civil Litigation.
We are seeking a motivated, positive, and professional Human Resources Specialist to be a part of our team.
Responsibilities:
- Talent acquisition - recruitment for all staff positions; assisting with development and implementation of internship programs.
- Onboard and offboard staff and assist manager with the onboarding and offboarding of attorneys.
- Coordinate daily support staff coverage in support of attorneys and firm.
- Assist payroll with support staff timecards to ensure accurate payment of wages and documentation.
- Produce and maintain administrative statistical report, directories, and misc. administrative manuals.
- Assist with employee benefits and events (e.g., Open Enrollment, Flu Shot Clinic, etc.)
- Maintain confidential personnel files and records (physical and online), in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
- Assist H.R. Manager with misc. special projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors' degree in Business Administration majoring in Human Resources Management from an accredited four (4) year university or college, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Minimum three (3) years H.R. Coordinator or Specialist experience in Hawaii.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Basic knowledge of state and federal laws, agency rules and regulations especially those related to recruitment and payment of wages. Understanding of fundamental H.R. principles and practices.
- Capable of maintaining confidentiality; able to protect and respect personal and private information.
- Ability and willingness to learn and grow in H.R. role.
- Strong organization skills to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and prioritize workload efficiently and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Dependable with strong work ethic.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively - self-starter with ability to multitask.
- Computer literate - Microsoft Office Suites - Intermediate level.
