Job Summary
This is an open recruitment to establish an eligibility list to fill the current vacant positions for the 2026 - 2027 school year. The eligibility list will also be used to fill any vacancies which may occur within a period of one year, or until depleted. Positions in this classification typically work 7 hours per day, Monday-Friday. Under the direction of an assigned administrator and in coordination with the District Nurse and Certificated Staff, provides a variety of specialized, health, and physical care services in the classroom to medically fragile students with severe physical disabilities and/or life threatening health conditions; for the purpose/s of meeting the individual health needs of students, to comply with health care plans directed by physicians.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or recognized equivalent, supplemented by course work necessary to fulfill the Licensed Vocational Nurse requirement and any combination of one year of work experience providing health care in a special education class, nursing facility, clinic or hospital. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: California License of Vocational Nursing (LVN) Valid First Aid certification. Valid Cardio/Pulmonary (CPR) certification. Valid Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification.
