What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Worker position at Carlsbad Municipal Schools?
Under the general supervision of the Director of Special Education, to provide students, parents, administrators, and other teaching staff with individually-tailored advice and consultation to overcome personal, emotional, familial, or social issues to maximize the students' learning experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold a department-issued license for at least one of the following:
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
- License Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Licensed Bachelor Social Worker (LBSW)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT);
- national certified school counselor credential issued by the national board for certified counselors
- Have or eligible for at least one of the following New Mexico PED licenses as required by the State of New Mexico
- School Social Worker
- School Counselor
- School Behavioral Health Counselor
