MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
JOB GOAL: To help maintain the physical school plant in a condition of operating excellence in order to provide the best educational environment for students of this district.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Three years documented experience as a plumber.
- Journeyman Plumber license issued through New Mexico C.I.D.
- Demonstrate competent skills as a plumber.
- Able to lift 60 pounds to 75 pounds regularly.
- Valid New Mexico Driver's License for vehicles of size required.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to read, comprehend, follow and properly execute written instructions on work and/or Material Safety Data Labels.
- Computer literate in word processing and spreadsheet applications as well as an ability to maintain static inventory records.

- Assume responsibility for the safe condition of pipes, drains, and plumbing fixtures in the facilities owned or operated by the district.
- Maintain outdoor sprinklers, waste disposal systems, radiators and similar plumbing related installations.
- Read and follow written instructions.
- Plan and execute work efficiently and within a range of safety to protect self and fellow workers.
- Account for and maintain supplies, materials and equipment.
- Examine district owned facilities on a regular basis for purposes of preventive maintenance.
