Printer Operator (Direct to Film)
Full-Time · Deer Park, NY · $25-$26/hour
Carlock's Sport Shack is a custom apparel and sporting goods shop in Deer Park, NY. We're hiring a full-time DTF (Direct to Film) printer operator to run our brand-new in-house DTF printing system.
This is a hands-on production role focused on operating the printer day in and day out — managing print queues, applying powder, curing prints, and keeping the machine running cleanly. Manufacturer training is provided during your first week on the equipment.
What you'll do
Operate the DTF printer: load film, manage print queues, monitor print quality
Apply DTF powder and cure prints to spec
Manage white ink and color cartridges, including daily stirring and replacement as needed
Perform daily printer maintenance: cleaning cycles, nozzle checks, capping station care
Use RIP software to set up print files, color profiles, and white underbase
Quality check finished transfers before they move to production
Keep the print room clean, organized, and production-ready
What we're looking for
Reliable — you show up every day and take ownership of the machine
Detail-oriented — you notice when something's off and fix it before it becomes a problem
Comfortable with computers and software — you'll work with RIP software and design files daily
Mechanically inclined — you're not afraid to troubleshoot a printer issue
Physical stamina — this is an active, standing job
DTF, screen printing, sublimation, or wide-format print experience is a strong plus but not required
What we offer
$25-$26 per hour, depending on experience
Manufacturer training on the DTF equipment in week 1
Room to grow as we expand our DTF production capacity
Hours
Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
