Job Summary

In this vital role, you will assist optometrists with pre-testing patients using specialized ophthalmic diagnostic equipments, and ensure a smooth flow of patient services. Duties include but not limited to:
- Prepare patients for eye examinations by collecting intake information and reviewing medical histories
- Operate ophthalmic equipments including autorefractor, diagnostic imaging, visual fields and tonometry tools for intraocular pressure assessment
- Maintain patient records accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies
- Keep exam rooms clean, sanitized, and stocked with supplies.
- Check-in or check-out patients if the front desk is busy.
Requirements
- Available to work Wednesdays from 9 AM-5:30 PM starting August through December.
- Prior experience in a medical/optometric office environment setting is a plus, however, we will train the right person
- Excellent patient service skills with a focus on direct patient care and compassionate communication
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, maintain clinical aseptic techniques, and work effectively within a team.
