This role applies advanced Lean, Six Sigma, project management, and Carlisle Operating System (COS) expertise to design and execute solutions that improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, people, and overall business performance.

Working with significant independence, the COS Project Manager II directs cross-functional project teams, manages risk and organizational change, and advises leaders on improvement priorities, investment, and execution. The role also builds organizational capability by coaching project leaders, sharing best practices, and strengthening the consistent application of COS methodologies.

  • Drive measurable and sustainable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, people, process capability, and customer outcomes.
  • Develop or adapt improvement approaches to address complex environments and systemic barriers.
  • Monitor and report project performance, key performance indicators, savings, risks, and sustainment results.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen COS systems, standard work, governance, and transfer of best practices across locations.

Project and Change Management

  • Define project scope, business case, objectives, deliverables, milestones, resource requirements, governance, and success measures.
  • Lead complex cross-functional and multi-site projects, multiple workstreams, and matrixed project teams with minimal oversight.
  • Manage project risks, dependencies, barriers, budgets or resource needs, stakeholder expectations, and change impacts.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, business process mapping, root cause analysis, process redesign, and other structured improvement activities.
  • Create and maintain accurate project documentation, action tracking, dashboards, communications, and executive-level updates.
  • Ensure implemented improvements include clear ownership, controls, and sustainment plans.
  • Provide recommendations to leadership regarding project prioritization, investment, sequencing, and resourcing.

Coaching, Capability Building, and Collaboration

  • Coach leaders, project teams, and CI practitioners on COS principles, Lean and Six Sigma tools, project management, and change leadership.
  • Mentor less-experienced project leaders and review project plans, methods, analyses, and deliverables to improve quality and capability.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to plant and functional leaders by translating complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Build alignment across functions and locations, influence without direct authority, and help resolve competing priorities or barriers.
  • Lead workshops, training sessions, and problem-solving activities for varied organizational audiences.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, replication of successful improvements, and consistent application of COS standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
