Duties
- Operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with precision, following detailed mechanical blueprints and schematics.
- Interpret complex CAD (Computer-Aided Design) drawings and translate them into machine instructions using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programming software.
- Set up machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and calibration devices; verify machine parameters before production runs.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues promptly, performing mechanical adjustments and repairs to minimize downtime.
- Conduct quality checks using coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and other inspection tools to ensure parts meet strict tolerances.
- Maintain accurate documentation of machining processes, adjustments, and inspection results for quality assurance.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently, including mechanical failures or programming errors.
- Familiarity with tooling selection, setup procedures, and machining best practices.
- Knowledge of 3D printing technology and its integration into manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Understanding of safety protocols related to machining operations and manufacturing environments.
- GED or High School Diploma Required.
- Able to pass drug screen and background check.
