What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position at Carling Physical Therapy?
Carling Physical Therapy in Gilbert is looking for a PTA to join our team with a mindset to grow personally & professionally. We are an outpatient orthopedic clinic specializing in quality personalized care in a comfortable & fun environment.
Training in manual therapy and experience in an orthopedic outpatient treatment setting are preferred.
Spanish speaking is an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on therapy to patients as directed by the physical therapist.
- Follow individualized care plans for each treatment
- Document patient progress and communicate with the physical therapist regarding treatment plans and progress.
- Assist with patient education and home exercise programs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Complete daily notes within 24 hours using PROMPT EMR.
- Comply with all federal, state, and insurance-based rules and regulations
Qualifications:
- A graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
- A current license in the state of Arizona
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to organize your time and prioritize your tasks
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Medicare and insurance companies is a benefit
