Position
Details:
- Location: Carline Geismar Fleet in Geismar, Louisiana
Key
Responsibilities:
- Manage phone calls and radio communications during
your shift.
- Provide timely barge traffic updates and estimated
arrival times (ETAs) to customers.
- Maintain accurate billing logs and record barge
movements.
- Oversee barge placement within the fleet and ensure
the fleet picture is current.
- Collaborate with management and personnel on
dispatching vessels, coordinating repair and crew change locations.
- Prepare pass down orders for a smooth transition for
incoming traffic managers.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols.
What
We’re Looking For:
- Excellent communication skills for effective
coordination with crews and management.
- Strong computer skills; experience with TowWorks is a
plus.
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in
high-pressure situations.
- Experience in maritime operations or dispatching is
preferred but not required.
