Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – Local Candidates Only)
Work Schedule: Hybrid – 2 Days Onsite (Monday & Tuesday), 3 Days Remote

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated testing solutions for database applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test automation, database testing, functional and regression testing, and software quality assurance processes. This role requires close collaboration with development, database administration, and business teams to ensure application quality, performance, and data integrity.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for database applications.
• Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing strategies.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Identify, document, track, and validate defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across multiple database systems.
• Develop automated testing frameworks and execution plans.
• Collaborate with developers, DBAs, and stakeholders to resolve issues and improve quality.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into test scenarios.
• Monitor database performance and provide recommendations for optimization.
• Maintain test documentation, test results, and reporting metrics.
• Participate in Agile development and testing activities.

• 8 years of QA Automation and Software Testing experience.
• 8 years of experience designing automated test scripts for database testing.
• 8 years of experience creating test plans, test cases, and test environments.
• 8 years of experience executing functional, application, and regression testing.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Experience interpreting business and technical requirements and updating test documentation.
• Strong analytical, planning, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working directly with business users and technical teams during testing cycles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

• 2 years of experience with Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework.
• Familiarity with enterprise information architecture and information management methodologies.
• Knowledge of software architecture, infrastructure components, and enterprise application environments.

• Must currently reside within a 50-mile radius of Austin, TX.
• Candidates must already be located in Texas at the time of submission.
• Strong database testing and automation background.
• Experience working in Agile environments with enterprise-scale applications.
