What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Management System Lead position at CARLEX?
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage Internal Audit schedule to ensure IATF requirements are implemented and working as intended for plant Quality Management System
- Integrate IATF, Internal and Customer Specific Requirements into plant procedures and QMS
- Work with and support Corporate Quality Systems to drive continual improvement items into plant systems
- Coordinate and manage internal Layered Process audit Schedule and findings through closure
- Oversee document control for plant
- Support internal plant Management of Change process and deviations
- Ensure plant deviations, Plant Quality Alerts are renewed or closed as needed
- Support management review for Quality Systems related items
- Support / drive corrective actions and follow up review for IATF Internal / Registrar Audit findings
- Support Customer audits (Ford Manufacturing Site Assessment, yearly control plan audits, etc.,)
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (or equivalent experience preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive quality systems
- Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949
- Experience leading internal and external audits
- Proficiency in corrective action methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone)
- IATF 16949 Internal or Lead Auditor certification
- Experience with customer-specific requirements (OEM or Tier 1 – Ford, Stellantis)
- Familiarity with and or trained in AIAG Core Tools - APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans
- Experience with electronic QMS or document control systems
- Experience with creating process turtles
