Mechanical Specialist - ME2

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Complete maintenance related tasks as assigned by the Maintenance supervisor on shift
• Respond to emergency “break down” calls, make needed repairs as quickly as possible while maintaining a safe work environment
• Complete Preventive Maintenance (PM’s) on production and facility equipment
• Trouble shoot all issues, make needed repairs and establish root cause
• Present findings from root cause and discuss future corrective actions needed, with Maintenance Supervisor Proficient mechanical skills and knowledge of industrial equipment and tools, such as but not limited to: Lathes, Mills, drill presses, surface grinders, welders, metal hardening furnaces, Micrometers inside/outside, calypters, dial indicators etc., to successfully complete all tasks independently
• Be able to refurbish or duplicate parts as needed
• Be able to get certified and safely operate all PIV’s, such as but not limited to: Forklifts, Cranes, Aeriel Lifts, etc.
• General labor and other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree in a Machinist discipline or accredited institution, preferred

Years of Experience:

• 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent required, 3 preferred
• Knowledge in principles of mechanical / maintenance, equipment and tools, preferred

Other Requirements:

• Punctual and consistent attendance required
• Able to work beyond required scheduled hours as needed
• Works in a safe manner and in compliance with EHS policies and procedures
• Be able to work independently or in a team setting
• Ability to complete ongoing training and development
• Ability to read or follow prints and work instructions

Experience

• 2 year(s): 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent required 3 preferred

• Knowledge in principles of mechanical / maintenance, equipment and tools, preferred

Education

• Associates or better in Mechanical Systems or related field
