What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Technician - 3rd shift position at Carlex Glass America, LLC?

- Shift commitment bonus $2 per hour (40 - perfect attendance)

- Weekly Pay
- Collect windshield samples
- Cut windshields to create test samples
- Prepare samples for specific tests
- Conduct body glass fragmentation tests
- Test water softener system for each windshield line
- Conduct Distortion, Moisture, Pummel, Light Transmission, Boil testing, Ball Drop testing, Opacity testing analysis for all windshield parts
- Conduct Robustness testing as needed or required
- Conduct follow up testing as required for non-compliant product
- Additional testing for the European and Asian Market parts
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Suite (Word & Excel)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and limited direction
- Ability to compile and compose reports for internal and external purposes
- Ability to understand tempered glass and Windshield standards
- Familiarity with reading & executing test specifications
- Adept at summarizing data and revealing key trends
- Detail oriented, able to maintain test logs/results/data

Years of Experience:
- 1 years of related lab-based testing experience. Glass industry experience preferred, but not required
- Must be able to work an alternative work schedule to include 12-hour shifts
- Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be required as workload or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays
- Proven knowledge of ANSI European and Asian Market Standards
