Accounting Payroll Specialist

Category: Professional Position Type: Full-Time Remote: No Shift: Day Schedule: Monday through Friday - Office hours are 7am to 4pm. Schedule is flexible within that time frame and can be determined upon hire. 5 - 8 hour days.

Overview

The Accounting Payroll Specialist has the ability to do all the tasks performed by the Accounting Technician I, II & III, but at a higher level of complexity. Complete corrections of pay and answer more challenging employee specific pay questions. Accurately run and balance a payroll and may be responsible for some General Ledger functions.

Responsibilities

The Accounting Payroll Specialist will be responsible for educating managers and timekeepers on Time and Attendance systems and Wage and Hour laws. Helps develop and maintain Kronos/payroll online training documentation. Responsible for managing and processing child support and wage garnishments. Maintain cross-training and backup support to Payroll Supervisor for a variety of tasks. Submits wire transfers. Assists in the production and maintenance of bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls. Monitors and verifies information within the Kronos Timekeeping System. Responds to employees and managers various payroll related questions. In depth understanding of pay practices and payroll transactions and ability to apply this knowledge to various situations, such as complex corrections of pay. Performs checks and balances to verify data within the Payroll systems. Assists with other accounting and payroll tasks as assigned.

Salary Range

The compensation range for this position is $25.5per hour - $42.59per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
