Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain various commercial roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and roofing plans to execute projects accurately.
- Perform construction estimating tasks to determine project materials and labor needs.
- Conduct site assessments to identify roofing issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Utilize construction site experience to ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Execute related tasks such as caulking, flashing installation, metal stud framing, and trim carpentry as needed.
- Assist with restoration projects involving masonry, stucco, tile laying, or concrete forming when required.
- Heavy lifting of materials and equipment is often necessary; proper technique is essential for safety.
- Collaborate with team members on fabrication and installation of roofing components using schematics and technical drawings.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used for project documentation.
Experience
- Proven construction site experience with a focus on roofing or related trades such as carpentry or masonry.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to roofing projects.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and project planning.
- Experience in restoration work or remodeling projects is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions.
