Job Description
Carls Wholesale Furniture Warehouse is seeking an experienced, reliable, and professional CDL Class A Over-the-Road Truck Driver to join our company.
We are a well-established furniture retailer operating our own tractor-trailer to transport furniture directly from manufacturers and suppliers to our warehouse and retail locations.
This is not a typical trucking company position. You will be driving for a privately owned furniture business with consistent freight, dependable weekly pay, and an established route.
We are looking for a long-term team member who takes pride in their work, maintains equipment properly, and can be counted on to get the job done safely and efficiently.
Compensation & Benefits
- $2,100 guaranteed weekly pay – $109,200 annually
- Consistent, year-round, full-time employment

Routes & Schedule
- Home base: New Hartford, NY
- Primarily (but not limited to) transporting furniture between New York and South Florida.
- Routes vary depending on vendor schedules and company needs
- Full-time OTR schedule, utilizing available legal driving hours in compliance with DOT regulations
- Home Weekly with occasional scheduling adjustments as necessary
- Overnight travel in a sleeper-equipped tractor
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company-owned tractor-trailer equipment
- Pick up furniture from manufacturers, distribution centers, and vendors
- Deliver freight to company warehouses and retail locations
- Coordinate pickups and deliveries with company management
- Properly secure loads to prevent damage
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and required DOT documentation
- Monitor equipment condition and report maintenance concerns promptly
- Maintain professional relationships with vendors and warehouse personnel
- Communicate reliably regarding schedules, deliveries, and any delays
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience; 5 years preferred
- Safe driving history and acceptable motor vehicle record
- Ability to meet DOT medical and employment requirements
- Experience operating sleeper tractors
- Knowledge of DOT hours-of-service regulations
- Ability to safely secure freight and operate a dry van trailer
- Strong work ethic, excellent communication, and dependable attendance
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Willingness to operate OTR routes and maximize available legal driving hours
