Position Summary:
As a General Labor/Packaging for Carl Buddig & Company you will be responsible for producing product by preparing and packaging cooked product for shipment with a safety –minded attitude that maintains and enhances a safety culture for the benefit of the Company and its employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load bulk meat logs (up to 30 pounds) into meat slicer at required production frequency levels.
- Perform random re-weight checks of sliced meat product.
- Review and inspect product.
- Place pre-determined amount of sliced meat products into packaging.
- Reject meat product that does not meet specifications.
- Place required number of packages into box.
- Inspect individual packages for proper quality specifications at a rate of 21 – 40 units per minute.
- Ensure that boxes are filled per required levels.
- Place completed boxes on pallet ensuring proper pallet configuration.
- Place empty pallet into position for proper stocking.
- Always maintain areas in a clean and sanitary manner.
- Inspect equipment for sanitary conditions.
- Inspect product for quality and any signs of foreign material contamination.
- Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned and needed.
Pay rate for this position is $18.75 per hour.
