Machine Operator - Solid Table Surface Grinder

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Plate Technology division as a Machine Operator for our Solid Table Surface Grinder. This is an excellent opportunity for long-term employment with a growing company that offers plenty of advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain a Solid Table Surface Grinder to grind precision steel plates to exact specifications.
• Follow established procedures and work instructions to ensure consistent quality
• Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain tight tolerances
• Measure workpieces using micrometers and other precision measuring instruments
• Perform regular cleaning and preventative maintenance on machines and the work area
• Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized workspace
• May be required to operate other grinding machines or assist with secondary operations

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and technical drawings

- Strong mathematics skills with the ability to read micrometers and perform calculations

- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and machine operations is a plus

- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality

- Ability to work 8-hour shifts, first or second (flexibility preferred)
