What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian (PT) position at CARISCOLLEGE.EDU?
- Primary job responsibility is to ensure the campus remains sanitized, orderly, and presentable at all times.
- Clean restrooms and common areas (empty trash, fill soap and paper towel dispensers, clean mirrors, sinks, toilets, and surface areas).
- Vacuum carpeted areas. Sweep and mop floors while displaying proper signage to avoid accidents.
- Sanitize classroom tables and chairs.
- Ensure all glass doors and windows in entrance are free of fingerprints.
- Wipe down walls, baseboards, and surface areas.
- Clean microwaves in breakrooms.
- Stock restrooms and custodial closets.
- Utilizes and stores chemicals safely.
- Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Assists in moving equipment or furniture to set/reset classrooms.
- Interacts respectfully with other staff, faculty, and students. Always maintains a professional demeanor.
- Picks up and disposes exterior trash on the premises and parking lot.
- Takes initiative in completing task with minimal direction.
- Performs other duties assigned by Assistant Campus Director.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Inside, well-lit, temperature-controlled environment.
- Criminal Background Check.
