POSITION DETAILS
Department: Warehouse Shipping
Status: Full‑Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (WEEKENDS INCLUDED)
FLSA: Non‑Exempt
Reports To: Shipping Manager & Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Shipping Material Handler is responsible for accurately organizing and coordinating customer‑related documents, including grouping by name, delivery date, and location. This role involves reading shipping documents, pulling and assembling orders, preparing shipments, and maintaining organization within the warehouse.
Duties include operating a stock picker forklift, using shrink‑wrap machines, labeling and wrapping orders, and using barcode scanners or computer systems to track products. This position requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work overtime as needed.
ESENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Organize and coordinate customer‑related documents
• Read orders to determine merchandise sizes and quantities
• Pull merchandise from bins or shelves
• Complete order receipts
• Prepare merchandise by labeling, palletizing, and shrink‑wrapping
• Clean and organize assigned aisles
• Pick orders using a Stock Picker machine
• Load containers and assist with inventory checks
• Lift cases and place them on pallets for shipment
• Hand‑stack containers as needed
• Assist drivers as required
• Maintain Stock Picker equipment, including checking battery water levels
• Perform cross‑trained duties in both Shipping and Receiving
• Perform other related warehouse duties as needed

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year warehouse experience
• Minimum 12 months forklift experience
• Forklift Certification required
• Stock Picker experience preferred
• RF Smart (barcode scanning) experience preferred
COMPUTER SKILLS
• Basic keyboard/computer skills
• Experience using handheld scanning devices (RF Smart)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Constant standing, walking, reaching, bending, and handling
• Constant lifting of 10–50 lbs
• Occasional lifting of 51–100 lbs
• Occasional climbing, crawling, squatting, and kneeling
• Ability to wear PPE such as a safety harness
• Visual and auditory abilities required for warehouse environment
