Role Description
This is a full-time or part-time role for a Direct Support Professional and Job Coaches, based in Philadelphia, PA, and surrounding areas with opportunities to help make a difference in peoples life. The Direct Support Professional will provide care and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to help them achieve their goals and maintain their independence. Daily tasks include supporting clients with personal care, developing life skills, fostering social and community integration, facilitating communication, and assisting with transportation needs.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Human Services, supporting individuals to achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Experience or understanding of working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and tailoring support accordingly.
- Training and a commitment to ongoing development in caregiving techniques and best practices.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, patience, and empathy.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in human services or related fields are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
