Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Support individuals with mobility and transportation needs.
- Help with laundry and light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behavior.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including CPR training and emergency response procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care, hospice care, or assisted living environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting and assisting clients as needed.
- Basic knowledge of healthcare systems and documentation practices.
- CPR certification is highly desirable.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional training or certifications in caregiving is an advantage.
