Job Duties:
- Provide leadership to the kitchen staff
- Oversee pre-meal and meal preparation, including ordering necessary supplies and meeting with vendors
- Manage all kitchen expenses (food, equipment, staff) within budget
- Assist with marketing and social events, including decorating the dining room area
- Responsible for meeting company standards for kitchen/dining room cleanliness and organization.
- Must have a current Food Handler’s Permit
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Prior experience with cooking in an institutional setting required;
- Strong leadership and communication skills;
- Ability to use a computer when necessary to fulfil the duties of the role;
- Ability to understand and meet specialized dietary needs;
- Prior experience managing expenses within budgetary guidelines;
- Organized with a commitment to exceptional customer service
