Job Summary
Caring Hearts Residential Services LLC is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and results-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as our Clinical Supervisor and Compliance Lead. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring exceptional clinical care delivery, driving agency compliance with all Florida regulations (AHCA), and actively participating in the growth and referral process of the agency. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with a strong background in home health supervision and a passion for clinical and operational excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
I. Clinical Leadership and Oversight (Supervisory)
- Provide direct clinical supervision and support to all field staff.
- Serve as a clinical mentor and resource, fostering a culture of professional growth and high-quality patient care.
- Perform routine field visits to conduct client assessments, review care plans, and evaluate the quality of care provided by staff.
- Conduct and document regular case conferences to ensure coordinated, efficient, and patient-centered care is delivered.
- Responsible for the performance or delegation of initial client evaluations and the creation of realistic, goal-oriented care plans.
II. Compliance and Quality Assurance (AHCA Focus)
- Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of all relevant state and federal regulations, including Florida AHCA rules (Chapter 59A-8, F.A.C.) and Medicare Conditions of Participation (CoPs).
- Proactively monitor and manage quality assurance processes, including clinical chart reviews and documentation audits, to ensure full compliance.
- Lead staff preparation for any accreditation audits, and oversee the execution of any corrective action plans following reviews.
- Ensure that all nursing policies and procedures, including the delegation of tasks to Home Health Aides, are consistent with regulatory guidelines.
- Responsible for timely and accurate reporting of any adverse incidents to the Administrator and/or relevant regulatory bodies.
III. Business Development and Growth (Go-Getter)
- Act as a professional liaison with referral sources, physicians, and community resources to actively promote the agency and secure new client admissions.
- Demonstrate strong initiative in identifying opportunities to expand service volume within the licensed service areas (Pasco and Pinellas counties).
- Facilitate efficient coordination of patient care to ensure client and family satisfaction, which contributes directly to agency reputation and growth.
IV. Training and Staff Development
- Lead the training, mentorship, and orientation of new clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Ensure Home Health Aides and CNAs receive and document the required training, particularly concerning assistance with self-administration of medication, as required by Florida Statute.
- Conduct ongoing performance evaluations and competency checks for field staff.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Home Health Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a Home Health Agency setting.
- Supervisory Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership or supervisory clinical role (e.g., Clinical Supervisor, Nurse Manager).
- Knowledge: Strong, demonstrated knowledge of Florida AHCA regulations (Chapter 400, Part III, and Rule 59A-8) and documentation standards.
- Skills: Excellent organization, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Other: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current CPR certification.
