Medical Billing Specialist

The Caring Healthcare Network is searching for a qualified candidate to fill a Medical Billing Specialist position. Located in Altoona, PA this position will provide support for both our Altoona clinic and Rural Healthcare clinic in Philipsburg, PA. The clinics covers services for Primary Care, Pain Management, Chiropractic, and Behavioral Health

The preferred candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years experience in a clinic environment.

Primary duties will include but not limited to the following:

• Knowledge and experience in the full cycle of a billing practice
• Benefit inquiries
• Claim submissions
• Payment posting
• A/R including working denials and rejections

Knowledge in the following areas preferred:

• Carrier information and familiarity
• Basic accounting skills
• Computer skills and adaptability
• Medical terminology
• Coding background and experience

Candidate needs to possess:

• Team player attitude
• Self-initiative
• Organization skills
• Prioritization skills
• Ability to work independently

Sign-on Bonus

• $1,200 sign on bonus with 1 year commitment

This position has the potential to become hybrid or remote after a review period and competency is achieved.
