What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional position at Caring Hands Of Kentucky Adult Day and NeuroRehab?
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) you will be responsible for functioning as a team member for the care, training, safety, and supervision of the residents at Caring Hands of Kentucky.
We are currently hiring for Shifts : Sunday- Wednesday and Thursday - Saturday.
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS!
Qualifications:
- At least 18 years age
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Requires an interest in working with people in a community setting.
- Requires independent transportation.
- Prefer previous experience working with adults with disabilities.
- Preferred training in CPR and First Aid.
- Must be able to work weekends

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train residents with the goal of decreasing dependence and increasing self independence.
- Provide housekeeping
- Monitor physical and mental well-being of residents.
- Provide assistance to residents in planning their daily scheduled.
- Ensure safe living conditions.
- Follow HIPPA guidelines regarding privacy and security of consumer protected health information.
- Provide personal care services which may consist of assisting residents with eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, or other activities of daily living.
- Provide household assistance such as cleaning, assisting residents with laundry, cooking, or other household activities.'
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.50 - $15.00 per hour
