POSITON SUMMARY
The Site Supervisor’s goal is to make a genuine difference in the lives of the individuals we serve. This position oversees the daily operations of the residential home while supporting individuals in living safe, meaningful, and fulfilling lives. The Site Supervisor will guide and mentor direct care staff, coordinate active programming, maintain regulatory compliance, and ensure strong communication with all parties involved.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Employee Management and Leadership:
- Review service plans with all staff members to ensure understanding of the needs of each member served.
- Ensure staff have appropriate documentation, training, and guidance to provide quality care for the individuals served. This may include a house “play book” with quick reference sheets for the individuals served.
- Support and coach your staff through job shadowing, training, and modeling desired outcomes.
- Provide constructive feedback through regular site meetings and annual staff evaluations.
- Issue corrective action using the appropriate platform (as needed).
- Suggest/request additional training or support to address staff needs and ensure staff success.
Communication:
- Interact daily with the individuals we serve and DSPs, listening and appropriately responding to their concerns.
- Maintain professional boundaries while performing the role of mentor with both staff and individuals served.
Medication Management:
- Ensure appropriate medication management for your site, including:
- Communication with pharmacies and medical professionals
- Picking up medications (as needed)
- Appropriately recording medications in the MAR
- Removal and appropriate destruction of unused medications
- Monitoring and maintaining the medication cabinets to ensure they are neat and organized
Safety Monitoring:
- Monitor safety support to ensure a safe and secure living environment.
- Communicate with staff concerning safety and security issues.
- Respond to reports of any unsafe conditions or repairs needed.
- Take appropriate action to correct safety and security concerns.
Service Coordination:
- In collaboration with your supervisor, plan and coordinate services for the individuals we serve.
- Prepare for and attend all PCSP and other meetings to ensure appropriate services are provided.
Documentation Oversight:
- Ensure the completion and accuracy of required shift documentation for all individuals and all shifts, including service documentation (ISP) and MARs.
- Document your review of ISP and MAR data and issue corrective action as needed.
- Review GERs daily to ensure accuracy and follow-up as needed.
Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency. A minimum of 2 years of related work experience is required. Previous leadership experience is preferred. Additional requirements include:
- Valid driver’s license in good standing along with reliable transportation and auto insurance.
- A passion to support others, respect for individual differences, and the ability to advocate for the best plan of action for the individuals we serve.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to learn and implement new skills and services delivery methods.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism with individuals we serve, direct care staff, peers, supervisors, agency leadership and outside stakeholders.
Salary : $35,000 - $40,000
