Duties
- Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices.
- Monitor individuals’ and observe for changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA privacy standards.
- Support medication administration and care plan implementation under supervision, ensuring safety and compliance with healthcare protocols.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, assisting residents during meal times and maintaining a clean dining environment.
- Conduct observation of individuals to identify needs or concerns promptly.
- Maintain a safe environment by performing cleaning duties and ensuring infection control practices are followed consistently.
- Engage individuals in social activities and community outings to promote socialization and community inclusion.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies by administering CPR or first aid when necessary and following established protocols for patient monitoring.
- Document all interactions, incidents, and health updates thoroughly while respecting confidentiality standards.
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living settings, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Experience with medication administration and monitoring techniques highly preferred.
- Familiarity with individual service plans (ISP) and implementation tailored to individuals' needs.
- Hands-on experience with caregiving tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, heavy lifting, and using mobility aids like Hoyer lifts.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating effectively with team members and engaging positively with residents.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid highly preferred.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
