Senior Care Specialist

At Caring for People Services, we are dedicated in helping gout clients lead dignified, independent lives in the comfort and safety of their own homes. The Senior Care Specialist will provide compassionate care for people of all ages through professional, ethical and quality services.

The Senior Care Specialist will serve as a role model and mentor for other agency caregivers and work full time in our clients' homes.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care services for clients as outline in their care plans including but not limited to companionship, housekeeping, shopping/errands, transportation, personal care, meal prep, respite care, and dementia care.
• Be Available to be on call for shifts Monday through Friday based on client and agency need.
• Work with clients care team to ensure clients' needs are met and information communicated for continuity of care.
• Assist with introductions, on-the-job training and observations of new caregivers.
  
  

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance.
• Minimum 2-years of caregiving experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred Essential Job Functions

• Ability to lift 25 pounds
• Ability to push, pull and assist clients with transfers
• Ability to frequently bend, squat and kneel
• Ability to stretch and reach when assisting clients with household tasks, dressing and repositioning
• Ability to use lifts for client transfer
