What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensing Coordinator position at Caring for Angels, LLC?
The Licensing Coordinator will work with the resource family (Foster Families) to monitor the developmental home license for compliance. The Licensing Coordinator will provide support and resources through an individualized plan that includes: home studies, visits, crisis intervention resources, ongoing training, counseling resources, respite care, and other services as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Complete initials and renewal home studies and submit to the state (Office of Licensing Certification and Regulation) for review and approval
- Homes are licensed state wide- applicant must be willing to travel
- Assist with recruitment of new developmental home providers
- Gather information needed for behavior treatment plans for DDD members to be presented to PRC/HRC for approval
- Assist in placement of DDD members in the developmental homes
In addition to the above outlined tasks, the Licensing Coordinator will be responsible for a small case load of resource families:
- Monitor the licensed home on a monthly basis
- Provide support and consultation services to resource families
- Attend meetings, staffings, visits as needed
- Support and facilitate licensing inquiries and investigations in the developmental homes
- Ensure that resource family files are up to date and well maintained
- Ensure that pertinent licensing information, including documented visits, are maintained in the file
- Collect written documentation monthly
- Write licensing renewal home study- complete renewal visit with resource family, ensure that all renewal documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted to the licensing agency within a timely manner
- Participate in ongoing case planning including, but not limited to: Child and Family Team Meetings, Team Decision Making, Individual Support Plan, 90 day reviews, and/or PRC/HRC reviews
REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
- One or more of the following:
- Bachelors Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related human services field from an accredited college or university
- Two years of post-secondary education in a related human services field and two years of directly related work experience
- A minimum of five (5) years of directly related work experience. Directly related work experience includes work in the field of developmental disabilities, family home licensing, or child welfare * Knowledge of that State of Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities and the child welfare system
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and manage time and tasks effectively
- Ability to relate with a positive, warm and friendly manner to persons of any economic, educational, or social level and persons of any racial ethnic, or cultural background
- Bi-Lingual is a plus!
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants are subject to meeting appropriate background standards. Applicants must be able to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card within the first 90 days of employment. CPR/FA, and Article 9 Training must be completed upon hire. An additional ten hours of training will be required every year.
Company vehicle available for visits or may use applicant's personal vehicle. Individuals operating the company vehicle or personal vehicle for company travel must have a valid AZ drivers license and current insurance and registration.
