Caring Family Home LLC is seeking motivated Full-Time and Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our dedicated team at our Hampton group home.
About the Position:
As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential daily living assistance, supportive program services, and community-based activities for individuals in residential (group home), in-home, day support, and community settings.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist individuals with daily living needs, including eating, dressing, bathing, and restroom use (when needed).
· Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of individuals by adhering to Medicaid, Licensing, HCBS Rights Policy, DBHDS, and OSHA regulations.
· Administer prescribed medications or assist with self-administration, following company policies and procedures.
· Support individuals in participating in leisure activities, developing social skills, and achieving personal goals outlined in their person-centered plans.
· Perform housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, disinfecting, laundry, and more.
· Provide clear and respectful communication with individuals, staff, and management throughout each shift.
· Report any signs of abuse, neglect, or safety concerns immediately and document incidents per company policies.
Qualifications:
Required:
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Experience working with adults with ID/DD or physical disabilities in a group home or direct care setting.
· Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation
· Willingness to obtain certifications in Medication Aid, First Aid/CPR/AED, and TOVA training.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Acceptable criminal background and reference checks.
Preferred:
· Experience in Special Education, Human Services, or a related field.
