Schedule: Mon–Fri, 11:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Compensation: $32/ hourly to start
Seeking a warm, patient and experienced family assistant to join a family of four in Tarrytown! This is a dual role: childcare and family support. Children, 7 years and 10 years, have rotating after school activities family assistant will have to drive them to. (dance, art, sports). They will also need to ensure homework is complete and lunch is ready for the next day. Family is laid back and friendly with a focus on teaching children to be responsible, respectful kind and inclusive. Children are happy and active, they love playing with friends, playing music and reading books. This family has a no screens or limited policy during the week. The days will be structured as folows:
From 11:00 am until 2:00 pm duties will include:
- Organizing common spaces (pantry, mud room, kid's areas)
- Keeping lists of household items (tp. paper towels, laundery detergent etc)
- Errands such as returns, grocery shopping (or putting away orders) picking up items for the kids, purchasing items for household.
- 3 days a week of Meal prep for the entire family including washing and chopping fruit and veggies, following simple recipes, marinating chicken or fish, putting together simple salads and dips.
- Packing lunch for the next school day.
From 2:00 pm until 7:00pm:
- Picking kids up from school, or meeting at the bus
- Driving to after school activities (3 days a week)
- Homework help and reminding kids to shower/bathe
this family has Vaccine requirements: Flu and T-dap. Covid not required but preferred.
