Job Summary
We are urgently seeking experienced caregivers to provide compassionate and comprehensive support to clients in various settings, including home care, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in patient care, medication administration, and assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those experiencing memory care challenges such as Alzheimer's or dementia. Candidates must be reliable, attentive, and dedicated to delivering high-quality care in a respectful and professional manner.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient observations accurately
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary
- Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely for resident transfers
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through light cleaning duties
- Observe and report any changes in the client’s condition or behavior promptly to supervisors or healthcare professionals
- Follow all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures when needed
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and regulations
Qualifications
- Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home, hospice care, or group home settings preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
- Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training highly desirable
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer’s/dementia, or memory care needs preferred
- Ability to assist with heavy lifting and use of mobility aids like Hoyer lifts
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to provide quality care
- Valid driver’s license is a plus but not mandatory depending on the role requirements
