We are seeking a positive and motivated detail-oriented Medical Receptionist, preferably with experience in a busy medical practice environment, but will train the right candidate, to join our growing team at A Caring Center for Women. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of electronic health records (EHR), HIPAA, referrals, and triaging a patient. Attention to detail and Multitasking is a must. Previous experience in Women’s Health will be considered a strong advantage. The Medical Front Desk will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming and efficient atmosphere for our patients while supporting the practice's administrative operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression of the practice
- Proficiently handle appointment scheduling, ensuring optimal utilization of available appointment slots.
- Verify patient eligibility for FREE programs
- Efficiently manage patient check-in and check-out procedures, verifying and updating patient information as necessary
- Effectively handle telephone inquiries, addressing patient questions, and routing calls to the appropriate departments.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of patient records and administrative paperwork.
- Uphold a professional appearance and demeanor, maintaining a clean and organized front desk area.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient needs and concerns with empathy and attentiveness.
- Demonstrate the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, managing various administrative tasks simultaneously.
- Display a high level of dependability and reliability, consistently adhering to work schedules and commitments.
- Collaborate with the team to promote a cohesive and positive work environment.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Skills
- Proficiency in phone systems and office management software (Will train the right candidate)
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Prior experience in medical administrative support is preferred
- Bilingual Spanish is a priority!
