Responsibilities
- Prioritizes and organizes specimens for timely testing.
- Performs requested laboratory procedures and evaluates results.
- Maintains quality control, proficiency testing, and instrument upkeep.
- Ensures positive patient identification to minimize errors and adverse outcomes.
- Supports ongoing learning and completes assigned goals.
- Provides instruction to personnel and students in medical technology as needed.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology from an accredited program.
- Clinical laboratory experience preferred.
- Basic computer literacy required; advanced skills preferred.
- National certification aligned with federal and state regulations required; ASCP certification preferred.
