We are seeking a reliable and experienced Service Route Driver to join our team. This role involves operating various types of commercial vehicles to deliver goods and services efficiently along designated routes. Duties
- Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles including box trucks, flatbeds, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and other heavy equipment as required.
- Deliver products, equipment, or services to clients along assigned routes, ensuring accurate and timely drop-offs.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate tools such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each route.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical concerns promptly.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws during operations.
- Assist with moving or repositioning equipment or cargo as needed within warehouses or job sites.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, or delivery driver roles; experience with shuttle driving, bus driving, or school bus driving is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., CDL for tractor-trailers or heavy trucks).
- Mechanical knowledge related to commercial vehicles and heavy equipment operation.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and heavy haul operations preferred.
- Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other tools.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members effectively.
- Experience operating various commercial vehicles such as box trucks, flatbeds, tanker trucks, tow trucks, or yard jockeys is advantageous.
- Physical ability to move cargo, lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds), and perform routine vehicle inspections.
- Prior warehouse experience or military background involving logistics is beneficial. This role requires a dedicated professional committed to safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
