Summary/Objective
The Charge Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately entering and managing billing information to ensure timely and compliant revenue cycle processes. This role involves applying CPT codes to patient charts, managing invoices and purchase orders with vendors, and completing charge entry tasks to support financial operations.
Core Responsibilities
Charge Entry & Coding
1. Accurately enter charges into the billing system based on documentation.
2. Apply appropriate CPT codes to patient charts in compliance with coding guidelines.
3. Review and verify coding accuracy to minimize claim denials.
Invoice & Vendor Management
1. Process and reconcile invoices and purchase orders (POs) with vendors.
2. Maintain accurate records of vendor transactions and resolve discrepancies promptly.
3. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely payment and compliance.
Revenue Cycle Support
1. Complete daily charge entry tasks to ensure timely billing.
2. Assist with auditing and correcting charge entry errors.
3. Communicate with clinical and administrative staff to resolve missing or incomplete information.
General Responsibilities

Required:
- High School diploma or GED
