Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Ice Cream Server/Cashier to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, handling food and cash transactions, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service or retail, possess strong communication skills, and enjoy creating a positive experience for guests. Prior knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus, along with culinary or café experience. Responsibilities
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Prepare and serve ice cream, desserts, and other menu items following food safety and sanitation standards
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change using POS systems
- Upsell additional items to increase sales and enhance customer experience
- Maintain cleanliness of the serving area, including cleaning utensils, counters, and seating areas
- Assist with food handling, food prep, and basic kitchen duties as needed
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to during food preparation and serving
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests in a friendly manner
- Restock supplies and manage inventory levels throughout the shift
- Bussing tables and assisting with general sanitation to keep the establishment welcoming
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic kitchen experience or culinary background is a plus
- Flexibility to work during peak hours including weekends; prior restaurant or café experience is beneficial
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed
