Role Summary
As a Principal System Engineer Sr this position will lead the system development for hardware platform in the domain of ADAS and Infotainment subsystem to make sure that the product is developed as per functional, safety, security, VWGOA quality and automotive process requirement for large scale hardware deployment in millions of vehicles. This position will deliver the work product requirement to HW, SW, Mechanical and Manufacturing team based on VWGOA requirement as mentioned above and will be the bridge among multiple cross functional teams.
Role Responsibilities
System Requirement work product development
- Create function specific requirement document for hardware, software , mechanical and thermal for the target hardware module
- Develop high level block diagram as part of requirement document for hardware and software project.
- Create the task list (Jira list) for hardware, software and mechanical projects based on the requirement document.
- Create HW/SW interface document along with HW team.
- Work with software, hardware and mechanical team to bridge technical gap.
- Cascade the automotive process in to HW/SW development process as part of Task list and work with team for adherence of that.
- Creating Safety requirement for HW and SW based on safety manual of SoCs
- Creating safety requirement (TSR) for HW and SW along with functional safety expert based on FSR
- Create HW/SW design verification/validation plan along with HW/SW team member
- Support EOL framework creating for prototype and mass production of HCPs in CM
Operational Management
- Collaboration with system team members in Germany for requirement gathering/discussion
- Collaboration with Vendors and CMs
- Support hiring of hardware and software team members
Years of Experience
- 12 years of relevant experience of system development for hardware platform development
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

- Experience of implementing HW DV and PV requirement for defined HW module
- Experience of implementing manufacturing process steps (with CM) in Hardware and Software development ( EOL, HW fixture, Quality process etc.)
- Experience of implementing HW and SW diagnostic requirement
- HW development experience in HCP

Compensation
Salary range is dependent on factors such as geographical differentials, credentials or certifications, industry-based experience, qualification and training. In the city of Santa Clara, California, the salary range for this position is $154,800.00 - $242,500.00.
