Carhart Lumber is Growing — We're Hiring a Drafter!

As we continue to expand our services, Carhart Lumber in Norfolk is looking for an additional Drafter to join our team!

If you have a passion for residential design, enjoy turning ideas into detailed plans, and want to work alongside experienced building professionals, you are what we are looking for.

This is an on-site position. Drafter must work from our Norfolk, Nebraska location.

Responsibilities Include:

• Creating residential building plans and custom home designs
• Developing detailed construction drawings
• Working directly with homeowners, contractors, and sales staff
• Assisting with project design, layout, and revisions
• Utilizing SoftPlan software to produce accurate building plans

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with residential drafting and design
• Knowledge of residential construction practices and building materials
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
