Job Purpose and Impact
The Freight Sourcing Coordinator will perform moderately complex activities that ensure efficient transportation of materials and products from origin to destination. In this role, you will participate in the identification and selections of the most appropriate and cost effective transportation.
Key Accountabilities
- Control and track the transport of critical materials.
- Apply a general comprehension of transportation and logistics practices and procedures to assist in the negotiation of freight prices and contract terms for customers.
- Update transportation websites and databases for contracts, freight rates and estimates, insurance and customer information.
- Independently analyze current transportation operations practices to resolve process and cost improvement opportunities.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two years of related work experience
- Location: Wayzata, MN or Wichita, KS; Relocation assistance is not provided for this role
- Schedule is Monday - Friday typically from 8:00am to 5:00pm. There are also some events that might need to work on the weekends and on call
- The business will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position
- Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.
- The expected salary for this position is $70,000-$85,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
