Job Purpose and Impact
- The AI Security Engineering Manager will help solidify foundation for the company's modern business applications. In this role, you will apply your knowledge of cybersecurity and AI engineering practices to secure and operate AI services used by our data and application teams to drive business value. You will also lead and coach security team of engineers to deliver highly scalable security solutions using automation
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the development of resilient AI services that protects sensitive data and critical business applications
- Collaborate with AI platform engineers, cloud engineers, software engineers and other key stakeholders to create security solutions aligning to industry’s best practices while fostering trusted relationships
- Lead a team of AI security engineers and be a security thought leader for the organization
- Assess AI security risks, automate security controls, and support the Incident Response team while making continuous improvements to the organization's AI security posture
- Address evolving threats to Cargill’s platforms in AI security strategies and platform designs.
- Optimize investments in AI security technology to ensure they are fit-for-purpose and cost-effective.
- Stay informed about emerging technology trends that impact the company’s security and risk posture.
- Define and document how the implementation of new systems or interfaces between AI systems affects the security posture of the current environment
- Provide expertise for developing AI Security standards and incident response playbooks
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field and or equivalent experience.
- 10 years of experience working in a software or cloud engineering role.
- In-depth knowledge of addressing the unique security challenges of Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, or Agentic AI systems, including model misuse, prompt injection, hallucination risk, and data governance
- Experience with AI platform components such as model registries, vector databases, RAG pipelines, fine-tuning workflows, and inference gateways
- Familiarity with cloud automation, management, and deployment capabilities.
- Knowledge of container architectures, CNAPP, CSPM, CASB, CIEM, CWPP, and CI/CD security in the cloud.
- Demonstrates flexibility in changing situations, adapting ideas or perceptions in response to evolving circumstances, and altering standard procedures when necessary. Ability to multitask effectively.
