Finish Painter

The Finish Painter is responsible for the proper application of paint. Ensures the highest quality product and meets customer specifications.

• Follows and complies with all safety, work rules and regulations. Maintains departmental housekeeping standards
• Refers issues/problems to Team Lead, Supervisor or Manager for disposition
• Will ensure parts are prepared for paint application, including sanding, cleaning and taping
• Make minor cosmetic repairs to parts
• Mix paint according to customer specifications
• Verify finished paint matches paint chip
• Operate paint booth control systems including oven
• Ensure spray guns are properly maintained
• Keep floor paper and booth filters cleaned as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Excellent attendance
• Ability to work overtime
• Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions; read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and material identifications
• Must be able to effectively communicate one-on-one and in small group situations
• Must be able to be medically cleared for respirator use
