Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Marine Insurance Account Associate to join our team. This is a hybrid role located in Middletown, RI. The successful candidate will be assisting in the sale and management of marine insurance accounts and providing support to the CL Account Management team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- In conjunction with the marine sales team, assists in the sale, promotion of, and prospecting of marine new business.
- Provides assistance and support in managing, retaining and enhancing marine client relationships in collaboration with the marine sales and administrative teams, as well as management.
- Serve as the client’s advocate on all marine risk and insurance issues.
- Assist the marine sales team with the completion of applications, submissions of applications to eligible and appropriate carriers, and timely follow up to ensure receipt of quotations and policies.
- Supports the marine sales team in preparing summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposals.
Position Requirements:
- Insurance or customer service experience preferred but not required
- Knowledgeable in Marine Property, GL, Auto, and WC coverage combined with the ability to effectively communicate and review these subjects with clients and carriers a plus.
- Strong computer skills with and familiarity with tools such as Outlook, Excel, Word and Applied.
- Ability to make a good first impression based upon the total of one’s personality, character, and professionalism.
- Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
