Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Prepress Technician / Packaging Graphics Specialist to join our team on-site in the Wadsworth, Ohio, United States (Greater Cleveland Metropolitan Area). This role involves preparing digital files for print production and ensuring they meet prepress standards. Responsibilities include preparing customer artwork for proofing and plate production, performing preflight checks, creating layouts, templates, and impositions, and applying trapping and other prepress best practices to ensure optimal print quality. The role includes adjusting artwork components for production requirements, troubleshooting design and manufacturing issues, outputting files for proofs and plates, and working with advanced prepress software to support efficient and accurate production. You'll also collaborate closely with customer service, graphics, and production teams to ensure projects are completed on time and meet customer expectations.
Qualifications
• 5 years of production graphics, print production, or prepress experience preferred
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and digital file preparation workflows
• Experience with preflight, prepress, and packaging production processes
• Strong understanding of printing techniques, terminology, and packaging workflows
• Experience with Esko packaging software and Automation Engine is a plus
• High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to producing high-quality work
• Technical training, certification, or a degree in Graphic Communications, Printing Technology, Packaging, or a related field is preferred
